Finding the right therapist is the first step to change.  Let's take a look at what it is to participate in psychotherapy/counseling!

Everyone comes to Psychotherapy/Counseling to resolve a personal problem that is in the way of living a healthy, rewarding life.  Because every person is unique and special, no two clients have the same experience in Psychotherapy/Counseling.

Some people prefer to work alone in counseling, others in groups and still others prefer to work in a combination of healing ways.  Work with the horses, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, offers the magical experience of the horse mirroring your exact feelings, NOW.  A look into the past gives clues as to how one has made choices up to now, but the healing happens when we arrive in the present moment exactly as we are and prepare to move forward with great curiosity rather than looking backward.

As a therapist, I will safely guide you around and through the problems, as you fill your life with new and different experiences.
Whether you embark into therapy to heal from:

  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • PTSD or any trauma
  • Dysfunctional relationships
  • Anxiety
  • Life transitions (including elder issues)
  • Grief and loss
  • Seek spiritual guidance or
  • Personal growth coaching

we will work together to create the optimal psychotherapy/counseling experience for you.

Your time with me may include any or all of these therapies:

  • Transpersonal Counseling
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Present-centered Mindfulness Practices
  • Experiential Psychotherapy
  • Body Awareness Exercises
  • Practical therapeutic work away from the office, i.e. homework
  • Reiki Healing
  • Emotional Freedom Therapy or "Tapping"
  • Group Therapy or Workshops
  • Referrals to experts in medical or specific therapy modalities that may be most beneficial to each individual.

However we work together, the psychotherapy/counseling experience will include times of great joy and times of great frustration; all culminating in a sense of empowered accomplishment of personal growth!
